"All Shook Up" is on Joel Markowitz'  "best of " list with  a wonderful review of Diane's and Laurie's choreography and a glowing review for Dan as director.  Also, Emily Madden was one of his "best of" performances for "Natalie/Ed" as well as Corrieanne Stein for High School Musical. MTC Students

Emily Madden and Kyle Schliefer (Singular Sensations) have been cast as two of five soloists in Whitman High School's production of "Songs for a New World" which will be performed in August at the 2008 Edinburgh Fringe Festival in Scotland.

Ari Goldbloom-Helzner has been cast in an upcoming musical called ACE at Signature Theatre.  He is playing the role of "Ensemble Boy," which includes 5 different characters, as well as the understudy for the lead role of Danny.

MTC Alumni

This July and August eight former MTC students will be a part of Wildwood Summer Theatre's production of Parade, the 1999 Tony winner for Best Book and Best Original Score.  The show boasts two former Singular Sensations, Amanda Kaplan and Ariel Messeca in supporting principle roles and as dance captains.  Former participants in MTC productions round out the cast and crew: Matti Dickenson (42nd Street, Oklahoma!, Peter Pan), Sean Finan (The Music Man, 2003), and Pam Freedy (The Music Man, 2003).  Ben Lurye (Children of Eden) and Shery Berg (Fiddler on the Roof) head up the cast as Leo and Lucille Frank.  The production is directed by Kristina Friedgen who served as Assistant Director to Betsy Nuell for Oklahoma!, Meet Me in St. Louis, and Peter Pan.   Parade will be playing at Bethesda-Chevy Chase High School July 18, 19, 25, 26, and August 1 and 2 at 7:00PM, and July 27 at 2:00PM.  Tickets will be available at the door or online beginning in July.  Please visit Wildwood's website for more information: www.wst.org.

Jeffrey Wei is playing Lumiere and Greg Atkin is playing Cogsworth in Montgomery County Community College's (MC) Summer Dinner Theater production of "Beauty and the Beast" in July.


Max Spitulnik will be performing in Jerry Springer: The Opera at Studio Theater this summer.

Danielle Eden was chosen as one of twelve to write and perform in the "NYU Reality Show", a musical theatre review for 5,000 incoming students to be performed at Madison Square Garden in August.

Ryan Watkinson is on Broadway in "Xanadu."

Julie Kotarides is in the national tour of "A Chorus Line."

Melissa Lone is in "A Chorus Line" on Broadway.

Jennifer Swiderski is in the national tour of "Drowsy Chaperone."

Danica Dora is working on her debut album.

Laura Kelley is currently performing on Disney’s Wonder Cruise Ship, as Cinderella, Sleeping Beauty and Pocahontas.

Josh Schulteis is currently peforming with the road company of "Cats".
