Singular Sensations |
This page is being updated. Singular Sensations, the acclaimed pre-professional performing ensemble, features exceptionally talented high school students from the Washington, D.C. metropolitan area. Founded in 1984, the group’s repertoire includes songs and dances from many of Broadway’s most famous musicals of today and of days gone by. Each entertaining number shows off the group’s dancing skills as well as the superior vocal abilities of the performers. Singular Sensations performs locally, nationally, and internationally and has entertained audiences at the White House, the Kennedy Center, Wolf Trap, and Verizon Center in the nation’s capital. Highlights of its 24-year history have included a two-week tour of the former Soviet Union, several performances on the Royal Caribbean Cruise ship Sovereign of the Seas, a performance on stage with singer Clay Aiken at his special Christmas concert in Baltimore, and Disney World. As young musical theater professionals, they are committed to community service and especially enjoy entertaining audiences at charity events, senior citizen centers, business functions, and community celebrations.
